Title: Ices Making - Peach, Tropical Fruit and Orange Pineapple
Post by: DeejayDebi on June 27, 2011, 10:18:59 PM
They had Tropicana juices on sale a few days ago for $1 for a 1/2 gallon jug! I bought six of them intending to make fruit ices. My kitchen is about 90 degrees right now even though I broke down and put an AC unit in the living room. It doesn't get around the corner into the kitchen. These poor guys started melting before I even got them all scoped out of the ice cream maker!

Anyway I made 3 batches in a row and froze them except for a small bowl of each to try out.

I used 1 quart of each juice, added a splash of lemon juice to enhance the flavor, a 1/4 cup of Half and Half for creaminess and added 1 tablespoon of confectionary sugar to add a bit of sweetness.

here's the making of the Peach ...

All turned out really good and felt good going down!

PS I found some 1 Quart Rubbermade jugs and they seem to be working well, after a few bowls there's just enough left to fill the jugs!
