Title: How much pressure do you want?
Post by: Illiterate on July 10, 2011, 01:41:17 AM
When I started making cheese 5 months ago I threw together a screw press from scrap material to use until I could figure out what I needed. I finally decided that seeing as the arbor press in my work shop wasn't getting much use I would just move it into the kitchen. With the handle fully extended it does 65 lbs, hang a gal of water on it and my 300 lb scale says ERR.

LOL, You sure you can get enough PSI using that rig?

We laugh, but in all reality, that only provides 10 PSI across a 28 inch wheel.

I do fantasize about making something that big but the reality is that I will probably never get beyond my present 1 gallon size.
