Title: Homemaking Cheese in Thailand
Post by: mbox on September 07, 2011, 04:43:30 AM
Hi there and greetings from Thailand,

I live 240km northwest from BKK, and cheese availability is not really good where i live...unless pizza mozzarella and kraft slices is satisfying :-)
Anyways, besides of love to cheese ( Wine & Bread which i make too- when time allows) i find the learning curve interesting on learning at the Cheese Topic....i used to work in the Hospitality industry for extended time but never made cheese although i do know how wonderful artisan cheese tastes....
I did post the first thread in the "Thailand" section ( https://cheeseforum.org/forum/index.php/topic,8169.0.html (https://cheeseforum.org/forum/index.php/topic,8169.0.html) )so i think not many Members from Thailand here ....i have, on my ,Thai-Motorcycle related Forum, also  a cheese discussion in case anyone is interested: http://tigersachsclub.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=674 (http://tigersachsclub.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=674)

I am still on the very beginning at cheese making although i did try it a couple of years ago being rather unsuccessful that time . In my postings you can see that i use very simple equipment ...but i shall get better equipped as time moves on.

Any other Home Cheese makers from Thailand here?

I think the major hurdle might be to get variaty of cultures and molds,
The rest like a cheese press and molds can be built yourself.
