Title: Hello from Northern Michigan
Post by: GlennK on November 19, 2011, 12:25:55 AM
Hi all,
I've been lurking in these forums for awhile but joined after having a problem with my farmhouse cheddar.  A mouse ate a hole in it and I wasn't sure what to do.

I got interested in cheesemaking about 5 years ago after taking a workshop on making juustua - a cheese native to Finland.  After that I started making mozzarella and ricotta with the kit from cheesemaking.com.  This year I wanted to try something different so I just made my first batch of farmhouse cheddar.  Up next is a parmesan.

Welcome Glenn!

Reminded me of Disney movie Ratatouille, I think this picture is from it . . .

;D
I live-trapped a mouse (maybe the one from this pic) this weekend in my basement! I released in my barn.  No cheese there.
