Title: Hi Everybody
Post by: Nicki on January 08, 2012, 04:43:23 AM
Hi everybody, my name is Nicki and I am new to dabbling in cheeses. I live on a lifestyle block outside of Woodville, NZ. We are hoping to get some east friesian sheep for milking soon and possibly a small jersey cow.  So far I have found this forum to absolutely fabulous. I have just tried a blue cheese and Camembert that I made and they came out brilliantly. Especially compared to my first disastrous attempts. I am enjoying just reading all the different topics and learning new stuff here. Thanks for everyone's input  it is so helpful.

Hi Nikki, welcome, I have no idea what a lifestyle block is.

Great to hear how useful the forum has been. Have fun gearing up when you get some sheep!

Welcome to the forum. What  new types of cheeses are you interested in making?

Hi

A lifestyle block is just a few acres of land to play with. I am interested in making pretty much any type of cheese that grabs my interest at the time but i would like to become proficient at making sheeps milk cheeses.

A few acreas is more than playing, enough room for your sheep and cow I assume!
