Title: Newbie to cheese from OR
Post by: Anjuli503 on January 10, 2012, 01:19:32 AM
Hello- names Anjuli. I am pretty new to making cheese. My husband bought me a milly kit for camembert,  I attempted that 4 times and failed! We didnt realize this was one of the hardest to make, and I have NO previous experience (not to mention I kind of suck in the kitchen anyways!) so after some thought I decided to switch to a different cheese- choose a cheddar. Just made my first wheel last night and it is getting its rhine now. We shall see how it turns out :)
I am also getting into making wine, cider, hard lemonade. Have my first batch of wine and lemonade fermenting upstairs right now.

Welcome Anjuli . . . there are easier cheeses to start with than both cams and cheddar, some info in our Wiki: Recommendations For New Cheese Makers (https://cheeseforum.org/articles/wiki-recommendations-for-new-cheese-makers/) article.
