Title: Andy's latest cheeses
Post by: adalton on January 10, 2012, 02:03:34 AM
Here are photos of my two latest cheeses.  One is a Colby that weighs 3 lbs and the other is a 2 lb Gouda.  I'm finally getting better at knitting due to the tips on here.  Thanks everyone.

Both cheeses look very nice.

Question for you, your Gouda looks like a tall wheel. What kind of mold are you using to get that?

It's a mold that has no bottom, not sure what it's called bought it from a local beer and cheese making supply company.  It's about 6 inches tall and probably 3.5 inches in diameter.  My intentions were to cut the wheel in half and have to smaller wheels after the pressing and before brining, but changed my mind.
