Title: Carter's Horizontal Cheese Press
Post by: Cartierusm on February 06, 2009, 10:13:58 PM
So here is the tilt press I made so I don't have to flip cheese by taking them out of the molds. I press first upright then when it comes time to flip I swing the press down into the frame and why will continue to drip out the top, the follower has holes in it too. Then half way during the pressing I rotate the mold 180 degrees so there is even whey and milkfat distribution.

Looks very impressive Carter, you could make some very serious sized cheeses with that!

Yes I could, but I'm going to stick with 10" wheels.
