Title: Dwelling in Cheese Nirvana - Don't Make Me Leave!
Post by: JustPeachy on May 17, 2012, 01:43:48 PM
I've visiting my in-laws in upper Austria this week. My sister in law took me to a grocery store yesterday for a few things and I'm always amazed at the HUGE selection of cheeses that they have available over here! And that doesn't include the goat cheeses or different butters or creams! I got a wonderful butterkase that we had for dinner last night. I don't wanna go home!  :(

Although I'm not overly keen on Swiss, what do you recommend/like the best? I think I'll spend all my Euros on a great cheese adventure!  :D

When you happen to be in Carinth, there is a Kaeserei in Tressdorfer Alm you can visit. It has a small shop and they make alp cheese, Camenbert and a fine fresh cheese with herbs. I've been there in 2011...
