Freezer or Refrigerator

I am currently using an old refrigerator as a cheese cave but I am thinking of replacing it with a smaller freezer or fridge so I can better control the humidity. What are the pros and cons of using a freezer vs refrigerator as a cheese cave? Or does it even matter?

You only have to control one temperature zone in a freezer.
