Dean in Ct.

Hello everyone,  I've been trying to absorb as much as I can from this amazingly knowlegable and helpful group. I am working on my first Farmhouse Cheddar which I waxed today using my own beeswax, now having learned that it may impart a flavor and be subject to cracking.... Oh well, we'll see!
I look forward to getting to know you all better, and ask for your patience as I ask the same old beginner's questions for the umpteenth time.  Actually, now that I have access to the search function I may not need to post for a while!
Other interests, sausages and all preserved meats, bees, sauerkraut, woodwork, sailing ,motorcycles...

Welcome to the forum Dean.

I always wanted to get into bees but my space is limited.

For using bee's wax on your cheese, may be you can use a layer of PVA under the wax.

Welcome!  I have no comment on the wax as I have no experience with it  ::)  But there are an awful lot of knowledgeable people here who been there done that.
