What's up with the Washington State Cheese Guild?
« on: March 22, 2015, 09:04:10 PM »
Anyone know what happened to the Washington State Cheese Guild?

In the past under linuxboy's steady hand we were presented with recipes for Tomme, Stilton, and other cheeses. It would appear that with Pav's relocation from PNW to California that the site is history. Can anyone confirm this?

Let's ferment something!
Bread, beer, wine, cheese...it's all good.

Last I heard it was going away  :'(. The Washington State Cheesemakers Association is in process of starting up (http://www.washingtoncheesemakers.org/about.shtml), but don't know what will be ultimately included on their website.

Outside of Beecher's there does not seem to be much going on with The Washington State Cheesemakers Ass'n,  Of the dozen or so members listed about half have non-working website addresses in their bios.   :(

I'm on the e-mail list to receive correspondence about what is happening and they are working to set up the organization. The latest was setting up a mission statement. You can contact Rhonda at Gothberg Farms to get on the list. She seems to be spearheading the efforts for now. http://gothbergfarms.com/about/
