How do you control RH in a small cheese "cave"
« on: March 08, 2018, 05:43:10 AM »
Hi guys , newbie here (not exactly)
I'm really interested in aging cheese.. I came across this sweet wine fridge recently.

tempted to buy it but I really need to know how to control the relative humidity ...

I read several posts ..but I have no idea what I'm looking at (i'm really bad with electronics)

My 1st question is ... is there a device that control humidity itself?

In my head it would be somekind of humidity controller + humidifier ...some how the humidity controller can tell the humidifier on when to "spray" liquid to increase the set RH and to tell it to stop "spraying" when it has reach the desired RH.

If it does exist .. what components do I need and is there a simple procedures that I can follow?

Not sure if I sentence it correctly .. Enligh isnt my 1st language.  :'(

Oh .. I live in a tropical area where it is hot and humid ...

This might help. It has a component list and US prices (might be old)

Yes, you will be fine with one humidify controller. Your wine fridge should already be able to be set to the appropriate temperature.
