How long can you keep whey before feeding to pigs, and does it need to be refrigerated?
Always feel guilty when the whey goes down the sink, and my brother in law keeps pigs. I just can't get it to him very quickly.

If it starts to grow black mold throw it away. Otherwise pigs will eat anything dairy related mixed with grain or other dry materials. Sometimes it will ferment but still goes down with the feed like it's candy

It's a good idea to keep it away from cheese making area and keep a lid on it to prevent infection of cheese or phage development though
