For anyone looking for a counter cave - we've created The Counter Cave! Just launched our Indiegogo a few days ago.

Age your cheese right on your counter top with the perfect humidity, temperature and airflow.  No need to use a DIY fridge OR use it as a showpiece to display on your counter top after your own DIY process while maintaining the perfect atmosphere! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

What temperature and humidity levels does it maintain?

Looks interesting. Can it be controlled manually without using the SmartChef Cloud Services or without using a smart phone, etc.?

Hi Mikekchar,

The temp range is 50F to 80F and humidity range is 30% to 92%.

Hi Susan,

Yes, it can be controlled manually if preferred. There will be presets for specific cheese types as well.

That looks and sounds very cool! Is there a possibility that sunlight passing through the clear exterior would allow uv rays to pass through and potentially kill microorganisms?

Hi Cheesehead94,

No – the transparent covering stops UV rays that would cause any problems. Also, UV rays indoors is very unlikely in the first place.
