Stainless steel utensil holder
« on: March 26, 2021, 05:03:39 PM »
I saw on this board that some are using the Ikea utensil holder as a form for pressed cheeses.  I happen to have that exact item but unfortunately the top lip is rolled inside, which will interfere with trying to get a tight sealing follower.

I'm making a circle cutting jig for my bandsaw so I should be able to make any fit I want out of a poly cutting board.

I found a good stainless utensil holder on Amazon - the lip is rolled outside.

The pricing on Amazon changes:  when I purchased it 3 weeks ago it was more than a dollar less than the $7.99 that's showing today.  The first unit that arrived was slightly deformed.  I had to return it (free return shipping) and the replacement is fine.

This should work for 1-2 gallon batches; for larger I'm using a new 1 gallon bucket from Ace

Pics attached...I'm have difficulty inserting pics from my pc
