For the first time in a year and a half we had family visit.... My daughter, her husband and their 5 year old son dropped by yesterday afternoon, and we celebrated with a plate of our cheese and homemade sourdough crackers....

The Cranberry Wensleydale stole the show, with the Jarlsberg and Red Leicester close behind.... My son-in-law loved the Fontina's bite, especially on the crackers, and who couldn't like the Edam, so mild and creamy.... The slightly crumbly Colby had the most left over.... All in all a screaming success....  8)

We will all be so glad when COVID is behind us and we can hug instead of just elbow-bump....  :(

Nice display! Which cheese did the kid like the most? My girls are that age so I'm curious. Also I just realized they liked Cranberry Wensleydale when they tried it last year and I haven't done it yet... so thanks for the inspiration and AC4U :)

I'm not sure the 5 yo even tried them....   ::)  .... When you do the Cranberry Wensleydale, try dusting it with cinnamon after pressing, it compliments the cranberries in a most delightful way, without overpowering the cheese.... We only did one side, but next time will give the whole rind a light coating before vacuum bagging it....

We found that sprinkling some cinnamon on a plate, dabbing the cheese on it (the moist surface, right out of the mold, picks it up like a blotter), and then brushing off the excess, was the right amount....  ;)

Thanks for the cheese....  8)

That looks wonderful!  I can't  I wait until I have so many (good) cheeses to create such a thing.
Making cheese is easy, making a cheese is hard
