Mozzarella, Store Bought Shredded - Not Melting On Pizza

brought two 900 g packs of shredded mozarella from a store...,  when tried using it as pizza topping, it didnt melt at all....,  rather started turning brown & hard, appeared as one tried to fry those shredded mozarella....., what to do?

any one have a solution? plz tell
