Rain Frances

Hi Everyone  :)

My name is Rain and I'm from the Laurentian mountain area of northern Quebec, Canada. I started my cheese venture over the years making ricotta and yogurt...but in June I stepped things up and started some microwave-Mozzarella, Curd and Farmhouse Cheddar (currently 2 wheels aging).

I'm a beginner, I'm flying blind most of the time and it's getting frustrating. I've been reading through this forum for the last month or so, trying to find help so I thought I'd introduce myself properly.

I'll be asking questions today, that's for sure! I hope I get to the point where I'll be giving advice!! :)

Hey Rain  I love all things French and can't wait to make French Cheeses.....so you are Anglophone, I am Francophile AND should say I have zero understanding of Canadian Quebecoise politics so don't mind me. Love that you are bilingual, i am working very hard on the French language at the moment!

I travel to France at least once a year...Bordeaux is my favorite city...Paris on 3/4 scale!

Hi Mobius, I'm glad you understand  :-X The English aren't always welcome here. I've lived here my entire life and my boyfriend is Francophone, but he spent many years living in the States and when he came back, he finally understood what an English person goes through. Not so much in Montreal or the bigger cities, but definitely in the mountains and small villages, like where we live currently. We'll be leaving the province in a few years for good. Otherwise, I love French food, wine, CHEESE and even some actors lol!
