Michele and I went for a basic soft cheeses taught by Scott Catino last weekend, we where in Portland for her HS rerunion and on Saturday drove down to Yamhill, 40 minutes SE of Portland.

Scott did a real nice job teaching the basics and making 3 easy recipes using both Kookoolan Farms fresh raw milk and his own goats milk. Full class of 20 plus people with a very nice powerpoint presentation. I wish we where closer so we could go to some of the other classes as well.

Thanks BauerHaus, and for link. Yikes 20+ people, this cheesemaking is getting popular, at least in Oregon!

Looks like a lot of fun. Still hoping to go to my first class before I retire.  :D

Awesome, thanks for the link. I live near Eugene and have begun creating my own cheese for about 2 months now and would love to attend a local class!
