I am very new to cheese making and if I had a cheese aging in my fridge with stuff still in it would it alter the taste/smell of anything in the fridge. All that is in there is drinks.
Thanks, Logan

Hello Logan -

I would suggest you put the cheese in a sealed box. Just open the box every day for 30 minutes or so to let the cheese breathe. A normal frigerator is too cold but if that's all you have you can try putting a plastic box inside a carboard box ...

Hi Lim, good question.

I also mainly use a drinks fridge to age my cheeses, not good as 1) too cold and 2) it's a forced air fridge so air is highly dehumidified. I get by as Debi says, using plastic containers.

To answer your question, the fridge does smell, but as only cans of soda and bottles of wine it's not a big deal to me, I'll ask my wife when available.
