Unidem (good morning, well actual "let your day be bright" in Turkish) to this forum! I think you are the first member in Turkey, congrats!

Lots of great people and posts. When my family and lived in Syria between 2001-2004 we had one 10 day driving holiday up into tourist Cappadocia area in central Turkey and to an all inclusive hotel on SE coast. Never made it as far as Istanbul as too much to see and do and as country too big (and gas/toll highways were European prices).

Hoping you might have some local Artisan cheese making info . . . again unidem!

Hi Alex, CH,

Actually I only tried to made my first cheese which was kind of a fresh cheese however I am reading and learning from this forum on how to make better ones.

My target to achive Cheddar, Roquefort and permasan kind of cheeses. We'll see :)

CH, actually I am glad you have visited my country before, I hope you liked it. (PS: Unidem is very close to reading of Günaydın but the meaning you have mentioned is 100% correct :) )

cheers

Oh Istanbul, my favourite city! We spent lots of time there. Hoş geldiniz Samsen!

Hey you wouldn't have a nice recipe for Sucuk? Sorry off topic! It is a sausage not a cheese. But I miss it as much as I miss the Turkish people and Airan and Cimit and Shish Kebab and and and ... Oh this brings tears to my eyes!

Cheers
