Some practical info for those of you who may want to build one of these.  I have now used this device and would suggest some design changes.  I made it to fit inside a 3" pipe so that it could double as a follower should I decide to use 3" (Provolone).  The floc finder has a tendency to roll over and sink because the center of gravity is to high with that stainless screw on top. 

Solutions would be to make it wider, say to double as a 4" or 6" follower or to use a shorter screw bringing the center of gravity lower.  Right now it is like trying to float the Eiffel Tower on a fishing boat.

I meant the record book guy. Bet know one ever make cheese in a hot tub before.

Yeah, I know you meant the Guinness Book of World Records folks. I conjured this image of Sailor in the tub filled with Guinness Stout, with his cheese in the shape of a little rubber duckie.  Oh, now that just might be a record....  Nah, too kinky!

Sorry the latest edition of the floc finder isn't working so great.  Keep us updated on your improvements.

Aw well back to the design center for the new improved floc finder.
