I did 3 weeks temporary duty with the RoK Marines during one Team Spirit (85-86-87).  Ate enough Kimchi back then to last a lifetime.  Koreans seem to pickle every damn thing. 
Since I was in their world,  it was their food, or nothing.  Eventually one eats.

I really cannot even stand the smell of it now.

I guess you can overdose on anything! Koreans, Chinese and Japanese eat pickles of some sort every day. Maybe that's why they don't age like we do?

I love this stuff I eat it as least once or twice a week not counting using it as a condement on sandwiches. I alos love it on hotdogs, kielbasa, pastrami and corned beef sandwiches and I make alot of corned beef and pastrami because it's relatively inexpensive to make and last a good long time!
